3 Bathroom Ranges of an Ideal StandardFebruary 19, 2019
Whether you are an installer or a home owner, Ideal Standard produce sanitaryware worthy of your time and attention. Still finished by hand with the traditional method, (more info on that here) and designed by award winning designers, quality, performance and style takes priority. Through from the design stages, to the manufacturing process.
Below we will discuss three of Ideal Standards bathroom ranges, Tesi, Tempo and Concept Air. If you are looking for some bathroom inspiration, you can get an idea of where to start with these elegant ranges.
The Tesi range brings together affordability and prestige. The range features the award winning Aquablade flush, which is quieter and more hygienic (more about that shortly). The range of ceramic sanitaryware, baths and fittings, holds slim, yet striking pieces. The breadth of the pedestals and cisterns certify their place within a bathroom, durable and strong. Whereas the thin rimmed bowls and toilet seats add a sophisticated edge – thin surfaces and tops are very on trend too.
Additionally, the WC’s and basins are compatible with the Tempo furniture range. Available in sandy grey and gloss white, with complementary Tesi taps too. There are also rectangular baths to fit the smallest spaces, from 160cm up to luxury of a double ended bath.
Suitable for family bathrooms, en suites or cloakrooms, the Tesi range is captivating in a variety of settings and home decors. By Robin Levien from Ideal Standard, the range is as well-designed as it is aesthetically attractive.
The Tesi range has concealed, polished functionality. All toilets within the range feature Aquablade® technology, which champions easy cleaning and efficiency. When installed, the range upholds its clean finish, with hidden wall fixtures for the bidet and wall-hung bowl. Toilets seats also have a soft-close option.
For bathrooms big and small, the Tesi range can adapt. Basins are available in 5 different sizes (45cm, 50cm, 55cm and 60cm), with full and semi pedestal options, and a 55cm counter top. Baths have semi-circular backs for comfort, carrying through the range’s oval curves. Also, with several size options, baths are available in 160cm x 70cm and 170cm x 70cm, with Idealform Plus+ options.
Aquablade® technology is an exciting development in toilet product design and innovation. It is now a benchmark within the industry for sanitaryware cleanliness, noise levels, and performance.
The flush has been designed purposefully to improve bathroom hygiene and cleanliness. The channel is at the top, tucked in to ensure 95% of the bowl is cleaned with every flush. With a more even distribution of water and optimum water pressure, the flush efficiently rids the bowl of bacteria.
After rigorous testing and development, the Aquablade® flush is 25% quieter than other standard flushes. It has received widespread recognition and is multi-award winning! For a toilet with Aquablade® technology, take a look at the Tesi and Concept Air ranges. They are great looking toilets as well as having this extra feature!
With flat topped rims and a rectangular basin, the Tempo range is confident and bold. Yet, the rounded edges are graceful, upholding the feeling of comfort every bathroom needs. Also designed by Robin Levien, the Tempo and Tesi suites have a range of co-ordinating brassware, all with simple fitting and installation.
Again, with a variation of sizes, the Tempo wash basins come as 60cm, 55cm or 50cm pieces, with full or semi-pedestal options. Hand basins come in smaller sizes, at 40cm or 35cm, with wall-hung or full pedestals. For those with bathroom furniture, check out the semi-countertops (55cm) and full counter-tops (50cm).
Featuring several WC’s, take your pick between close coupled, close coupled back-to-wall, wall mounted, or back to wall. Wall-hung furniture is stepping into the spotlight this year. Also, choose between 6/4 or 4/2.6 litre cisterns, and back-to-wall or wall-hung bidets.
Often the centre piece of a bathroom, the Tempo range sports two styles of bath. Arc, has curves and a rounded backrest. Whereas Cube has a more contemporary look, with a square design. Both come in a range of sizes, either left-handed, right-handed or double ended. Plus, with a water saving option, where the water capacity is capped at 139 litres. The Tempo furniture range comes in sandy grey and gloss white and is also compatible with both the Studio Echo and Tesi basins and WC’s.
The Concept Air range from Ideal Standard, again designed by the award winning Robin Levien, injects light and uplift into the bathroom space. The edges plume into clean and delicate edges. Yet the range does not compromise on durability and quality. Perfect for a modern bathroom, the range combines minimalism with acute, impactful details.
With wall-hung, full and half pedestal options available, the range is adaptable. Also, combine with furniture and counter-tops, for a clean and fresh look. The semi-countertop basin (50cm) has a slight overhang, but the rounded lip is inclusive and elegant. The wall-hung Concept Air Arc basin is also available in size 60cm, 55cm and 50cm. Concept Air furniture comes in 6 sophisticated colour and finish options, and a choice of both floor standing and wall hung options.
This range also comes with Aquablade technology. Opting for wall-hung furniture retains a bathroom’s spaciousness, and offers a much cleaner finish without the cistern, which can consume wall space. Concept Air enhances this, as everything appears, light.
Designed considering the comfort of the user, the Concept Air bath features gentle arches, for you to really sink into. The standard bath comes in sizes 170 x 70cm and 150 x 70cm. However, the design is adapted for free standing and double ended baths too. Also, the range has a short projection WC, which is perfect, where space is at a premium.
